SIF holds 7th Bi-annual Meeting in Abu Dhabi

The Seventh meeting of the SIF was held alongside the 2019 IAIS Annual Conference in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates. Supervisors from 22 jurisdictions as well as representatives from partner organisations took part. During the opening tour-de-table, SIF members and observers shared brief updates on activities since SIF6, including planned activities for 2020. The morning session evaluated the SIF’s work during its first phase (2016-2019), with SIF members sharing views on value-added, impact, and areas for improvement. The SIF Chair then led a session focusing on governance and operations. The SIF and IAIS Secretariats then shared information on SIF’s content pipeline for 2020, including the final draft version of the Issues Paper on TCFD Implementation, and drafting of the Application Paper on Climate Change Risks.
