NATURE-INSURE Programme

Web-based training programme on nature-related risks for insurance regulators and supervisors

NATURE-INSURE is a global training and capacity building programme that supports insurance regulators and supervisors in addressing nature related financial risks.

Launched in collaboration with UNDP’s Sustainable Insurance Forum (SIF), the Taskforce on Nature related Financial Disclosures (TNFD), and KPMG, the programme responds to the growing material impacts of biodiversity loss and ecosystem degradation on the financial system.

Through expert led webinars, practical tools, and peer learning, NATURE-INSURE aims to strengthen supervisory readiness and create greater awareness of the Global Biodiversity Framework and the Sustainable Development Goals.

How we deliver training

We offer flexible learning modalities designed to accommodate the needs of insurance regulators and supervisors across diverse time zones and regions, with the programme scheduled to run from the third quarter of 2025 through the second quarter of 2026.

Live Webinars

The programme consists of four closed door, expert led webinars focused on real world supervisory challenges and emerging good practices. These sessions are interactive, allowing participants to ask questions, exchange views, and engage directly with technical experts and peers.

Modular and Customised Design

The programme is designed to accommodate supervisors at different stages of understanding. Whether participants are new to nature related risks or already advancing supervisory action, each module offers practical entry points aligned with their level of experience and institutional priorities.
